Omnath, Locus of the Void Commander Deck Guide (Reality Fracture)

Omnath, Locus of the Void is the fifth Omnath and a first for the character — a colorless commander that hoards mana and punishes anyone who tries to make you waste it. It's the head of a big-mana, ramp-into-monsters deck. Here's how to build it.

Reading the Commander

For {7} (all generic — castable in any deck) you get an Elemental with three linked abilities:

• - Omnath gets +1/+1 for each unspent mana you have — so a full mana pool makes him enormous.
• - If you would lose unspent mana, that mana becomes colorless instead — you keep your mana between steps, and it feeds Omnath's size.
• - Landfall — whenever a land you control enters, add {C}{C} — free colorless mana on every land drop.

Together they make Omnath a mana battery that grows huge and fuels giant colorless payoffs.

The Colorless Constraint (Read This First)

Omnath's color identity is colorless, so your deck can only run colorless cards and basic lands — no colored spells at all. That's a real restriction, but it points you straight at the format's best Eldrazi and colorless ramp, which is exactly what a big-mana deck wants.

The Game Plan

You're a colorless big-mana ramp deck: flood the board with mana rocks and lands, keep your unspent mana pooled to grow Omnath, and cast enormous Eldrazi and colorless bombs no one can profitably answer.
