Nissa, Leyline Tamer Commander Deck Guide (Reality Fracture)

A four-color landfall-value build guide for Nissa, Leyline Tamer from Reality Fracture — how the commander turns lands into cards and free creatures, the ramp-heavy game plan, the deck skeleton, and how to win.

Nissa, Leyline Tamer is a four-color value engine that rewards the thing every green deck already does — playing lands. Here's how to build around her.

Reading the Commander

For {3}{W}{U}{B}{R} you get an Elf Wizard with deathtouch and vigilance and a stacked landfall trigger:

  • - Landfall — whenever a land you control enters, draw a card.
  • - Then, the first time each turn, reveal cards from the top until you hit a creature and put it onto the battlefield (the rest go to the bottom).

So every land is a card, and your first land each turn is *also* a free creature. Add extra land drops and fetches and she buries the table in resources.

The Game Plan

You're a four-color landfall value deck: ramp hard, play extra lands, and turn each drop into cards and free bodies until you overwhelm the table. Deathtouch and vigilance make Nissa a fine blocker and attacker while the engine runs.

Core Package

  • - Extra land drops: Exploration, Azusa, Dryad of the Ilysian Grove, Oracle of Mul Daya — each multiplies Nissa's triggers.
  • - Land recursion / fetches: Crucible of Worlds, fetchlands, and Nissa's own colors' ramp put more lands into play.
  • - Landfall payoffs: Scute Swarm, Avenger of Zendikar, Omnath — including Omnath, Locus of the Void from this very set as a colorless landfall payoff.
  • - Fixing: the four-color mana base is the real cost — see below.

The Skeleton

Build to the Commander template, tuned four-color landfall:

  • - 1 Nissa, Leyline Tamer
  • - 38–40 lands (this deck *wants* extra lands — err high)
  • - 10–12 ramp, prioritising land-based ramp and four-color fixing
  • - 9 removal + 3 board wipes
  • - 6–8 extra-land-drop and landfall payoffs
  • - 2–3 win conditions

Mana Base Notes

Four colors is the challenge. Lean on land-based ramp (Cultivate, Three Visits, Farseek) which doubles as landfall fuel, the Turbulent duals, triomes, and rainbow lands. See the mana base guide.

How You Win

Out-value the table until a landfall payoff (Avenger, Scute Swarm) or a top-end bomb closes. Keep a real win condition in the deck — raw card advantage needs a finisher.
