Strategy
Winter, Tormented Loner is a sacrifice-focused engine that punishes opponents while filling your graveyard. Every time you sacrifice a creature or planeswalker, each opponent must do the same—forcing them into bad trades while you build a resource advantage. The key is that Winter grows stronger for each creature and planeswalker in your graveyard, turning your discards and sacrifices into a growing threat. You'll want a steady stream of disposable creatures (tokens, small dudes) and ways to sacrifice them repeatedly, turning the graveyard into a second hand.
Your gameplan revolves around cheap creatures and token generators that feed Winter's power boost while triggering the sacrifice effect. Cards that create tokens or self-sacrifice are perfect; you're incentivizing opponents to shed their best creatures while yours are designed to die. Planeswalker sacrifice is a nice bonus, especially if you're running expendable walkers or tokens. The deck wins through a mix of commander damage (Winter gets big fast) and attrition—you'll outvalue opponents by forcing them into unfavorable trades, then bash in with a massive Warlock.
