Strategy
Will Riker is a straightforward Voltron commander with a side of +1/+1 counter synergies. He's a solid 4/5 body that immediately boosts another creature when he enters the battlefield, letting you pump threats or enable counters-focused strategies. The idea is to either suit up Riker himself with auras and equipment to go the Voltron route, or build around distributing counters across your board to create multiple threats that grow out of control.
You can lean into counter synergies by pairing Riker with cards that care about +1/+1 counters, like creatures with proliferate or cards that double counters. Alternatively, go the Aura-focused route and stack enchantments on your commander or key creatures to close out games through commander damage. White gives you access to solid equipment, board wipes for removal, and anthems to back up your threats.
