Legendary Creature — Vampire Cleric // Legendary Creature — Kraken Horror
Flying When Runo enters, put up to one target creature card from your graveyard on top of your library. At the beginning of your upkeep, look at the top card of your library. You may reveal that card. If a creature card with mana value 6 or greater is revealed this way, transform Runo.
“Mill yourself, flip to a kraken reanimator, grind out value with recursion.”
Runo Stromkirk is a transformative commander that rewards you for filling your graveyard with creatures. The front side is a modest flyer that mills three cards whenever a creature enters your graveyard, jumpstarting your self-mill plan. Once you've milled enough threats, you flip into Krothuss, a massive flying kraken that can repeatedly reanimate creatures from your graveyard, turning your discard pile into a recursive engine of value.
The deck wants to lean into self-mill and graveyard synergies, filling your yard with creatures, then using Krothuss to rebuy them turn after turn. You'll also pack reanimation spells and creatures with enters-the-graveyard triggers to maximize the payoff. The gameplan is both grindy and explosive: generate value through Runo's mill trigger, transform into Krothuss, then close out the game by repeatedly flashing back creatures or reanimating them at the end of turn.

Skip expensive reanimation like Animate Dead; use Unearth, Gravity Well, and Footsteps of the Goryo as budget-friendly recursion pieces.
