“Modest vigilant beatdown once you fill the board with artifacts and legends.”
Ori, Keeper of Songs is a modest threat that rewards you for playing the "good stuff" already in white's arsenal. Once you control three artifacts, legendaries, and/or Sagas, Ori becomes a 4/3 vigilante beater that dodges summoning sickness on the next turn. The deck wants to lean into these permanent types naturally—white has plenty of legendary creatures, cheap artifacts, and powerful Sagas that generate value on their own. Your core gameplan is to assemble these three permanent types early, then ride Ori's modest power alongside your synergistic permanents to a combat-focused win. Think of Ori as the glue holding together an otherwise thematic deck rather than the flashy centerpiece.
The best builds stock up on artifacts and Sagas that also generate board presence or utility. Equipment like Kaldra Compleat or Sword of Fire and Ice double as Ori enablers while powering up your creatures. White Sagas like The Restoration of Eiganjo or Fabled Passage effects ramp and trigger repeatedly. Layer in legendary creatures (Planeswalkers, other legendary soldiers, even utility creatures like Junk Winder) and you'll hit your threshold quickly. Ori then becomes a reliable, evasive attacker that closes games in the mid-game without needing anything fancy.

Skip expensive Planeswalkers; use budget legends like Elas il-Kor and cheap artifacts (Ornithopter, Springleaf Drum) to enable Ori quickly.
