“A 2/2 that becomes every utility creature you control.”
Marvin is a unique copycat that turns your utility creatures into a Swiss Army knife. The deck revolves around assembling creatures with powerful activated abilities—think mana dorks, card draw engines, tutors, and sacrifice outlets—and letting Marvin steal all of them. You're not trying to win with Marvin's combat damage; instead, you're using the toolbox of abilities you've gathered to control the game, generate resources, and set up a winning position. This works best in a creature-heavy, utility-focused shell where every creature does something broken when activated.
The win condition is flexible: you might generate infinite mana through dorks and sac outlets, draw your entire deck, create tokens, or simply lock out opponents with repeated ability triggers. Marvin shines in the mid-game when you've assembled 3–5 good creatures and suddenly Marvin becomes all of them at once. The deck plays like a toolbox midrange deck that gradually assembles unstoppable synergies. It rewards knowing what abilities exist in your playgroup and building around creatures that are already strong in singleton formats.

Skip expensive tutors like Demonic Tutor; use green ramp creatures and modal utility creatures instead. Elvish Visionary, Llanowar Elves, and Viscera Seer are budget all-stars.
