Strategy
La Forge, Thoughtful as Ever rewards you for putting counters on permanents by generating flying Faerie tokens. The core gameplan is to build a deck full of cheap permanents that enter with counters or get countered through your other spells, then tap La Forge each turn to convert that counter activity into a growing aerial army. You're looking for cards that naturally accumulate +1/+1 counters, experience counters, charge counters, or other counter types—especially low-cost ones that let you maximize your Faerie output per turn. Once you've built a solid token swarm, you can attack for incremental commander damage or pivot into token payoffs like aristocrats or anthem effects.

Key Synergies
Budget Build
Skip expensive planeswalkers and utility lands; instead use budget counter-producers like Ozolith, the Shattered Spire, Pinfold Phantom, and Quartzwood Crasher. Basic Island ramp and cantrips keep costs down.
