Strategy
Kiora of Salt and Sand is a versatile aggressor that rewards you for activating loyalty abilities on your planeswalkers. Each turn you activate a planeswalker, Kiora untaps an attacking creature and makes it unblockable—turning your attacks into guaranteed damage while your walker suite does the heavy lifting. The deck naturally wants to play multiple planeswalkers (especially the new Jace tokens from empower effects), activate them for value, and ride a growing army of evasive creatures to victory. You'll lean on Superfriends synergies: cards like Way of the Pyromancer and Way of the Paradox ramp your Jace tokens, Sanctum Lurker protects your walkers while empowering Jace, and cards like Loyal Tutor or Jace's Machinations let you chain activations. Kiora herself scales naturally—each attack gets better as you gain loyalty.

Key Synergies
Budget Build
Skip pricey planeswalkers like Jace, the Mind Sculptor; Kiora shines with budget walkers like Ajani Resolute, Garruk, Curse Breaker, and the new Jace tokens. Use Signets and cheap cantrips over tutors.
