Julian Bashir, Frontier Doctor

Julian Bashir is a compact reanimation engine that rewards you for drawing extra cards each turn. His "seek out" ability triggers whenever you draw your second card, letting him grow with +1/+1 counters—and each attack, he reanimates a creature from your graveyard whose mana value doesn't exceed his current power. This means early card draw spells (like Esper Sentinel, Welcoming Vampire, or even humble cantrips) fuel both his clock and your graveyard recursion engine. You're essentially building a midrange value deck that grinds out incremental advantage: draw two cards, pump Bashir, attack, reanimate something useful, repeat.

The gameplan is straightforward but satisfying. Pack your deck with cheap card-draw effects and value creatures that either have enter-the-battlefield effects or are useful to reanimate (a mix of evasive threats, tutors, and utility). White's access to stax-lite effects (like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben or Aven Mindcensor) helps you control the pace while you assemble your draw engine. Once Bashir gets rolling, he becomes a recurring threat that dodges exile and board wipes by living in your graveyard, and his reanimation clause turns every attack into a second spell per turn.

You win by grinding out value over time—Bashir's damage adds up, your reanimated creatures apply pressure, and card advantage lets you outclass opponents. This isn't a fast combo deck; it's a "engine that keeps running" midrange strategy that rewards careful sequencing and knowledge of your graveyard.
