Strategy
Jake Sisko is a modest landfall payoff engine that rewards you for playing lands early and often. Every time a land enters the battlefield, you gain 1 life—a modest rate, but the real value comes from the second trigger per turn, which creates a Clue token for card draw. This means you're turning land ramp into both life gain and card advantage, making Jake a natural fit for landfall-focused green decks that care about quantity of land drops. The gameplan is straightforward: ramp aggressively with cheap fetchlands and land-tutors, trigger Jake twice per turn by bouncing lands or using cards that put multiple lands into play at once, then convert those Clues into cards to reload your hand and find more threats.

Key Synergies
Budget Build
Skip pricey fetch lands like Misty Rainforest; use budget alternatives like Evolving Wilds, Fabled Passage, or the new Planet lands from the Star Trek set, which enter untapped more often and still trigger landfall twice per turn.
