Hologram Janeway

Hologram Janeway is a straightforward power-matters commander that rewards you for swinging with a wide or beefy board. Her ability triggers whenever your creatures deal 8+ power of combat damage, giving you a steady stream of +1/+1 counters to spread around. This makes her perfect for token strategies—especially ones that generate lots of small bodies—or go-wide strategies that naturally hit that power threshold. The game plan is to build up a modest army, attack, trigger her ability repeatedly, and then convert those counters into overwhelming board presence or pump damage through evasive creatures.

In white, you have access to excellent token generators and Starstuff effects that synergize beautifully. Cards like Bitterblossom, Intangible Virtue, and the new Borg tokens from the Star Trek set create the army you need. Once you're pumping counters onto your best fliers or evasive threats, you quickly bury opponents under a hail of flying damage. The deck doesn't need complex combos—it's a clean midrange strategy where Janeway becomes a resilient, repeatable pump effect that makes your tokens matter beyond their individual stats.
