Legendary Creature — Elder Wizard
Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, surveil 1. At the beginning of your end step, each opponent may sacrifice a nontoken creature of their choice. Each opponent who doesn't loses 2 life for each instant and sorcery card in your graveyard.
“Mill yourself and punish opponents for keeping their creatures.”
Fandaniel is a self-mill engine that punishes opponents for not sacrificing creatures. Your game plan is to load your graveyard with instant and sorcery spells while pressuring the table—cast cheap spells to trigger surveil, mill yourself, and grow the life drain threat. Each opponent faces a nasty choice: sacrifice a creature or take damage scaling with your spell count. This naturally leads to a grindy midrange game where you're fueling your own mill while extracting value from every spell. The beauty is that surveiling fills your graveyard without losing card advantage, and your threat only gets worse as the game progresses.
You'll want a high density of cheap instants and sorceries (cantrips, removal, draw) to maximize surveil triggers and fill your graveyard quickly. Instant-speed interaction lets you control the board while advancing your mill. By mid-game, even a modest graveyard of 8–10 spells becomes a 16–20 life swing threat, forcing opponents to lose resources or take serious damage. This is a grindy, attrition-based deck that wins through a combination of life drain and grinding out resources.

Use Ponder, Preordain, and Sign in Blood as cheap cantrips instead of pricey draw spells like Counterspell; budget removal like Diabolic Edict and Tragic Slip do the job.
