Legendary Creature — Human Rogue
Flash Defender, haste {1}{U}, {T}: Copy target spell you control that wasn't cast. You may choose new targets for the copy.
“Flash defender that copies your spells for value and tempo advantage.”
Errant, Street Artist is a sneaky tempo engine that turns your instant-speed tricks and copied spells into card advantage. The flash and defender combo means you're never truly tapped out—you can play it defensively on your opponent's turn, then use its activated ability to copy your own noncasted spells (tokens, effects from the stack, etc.) for a mana-efficient value machine. This works beautifully with instants, temporary effects, and any spell-copying synergies.
The core gameplan is to play cheap interaction and cantrips while Errant sits back as a defensive wall, then activate its ability repeatedly to multiply your spell effects. You're looking to chain together card draw, tempo advantages, and incremental damage or board presence through cloned effects. Win by grinding out value until your copied spells overwhelm the table, or pivot to a tempo beatdown with evasive threats that Errant can copy for extra reach.
This is a "bounce and blink" style shell with a spellslinger twist—think instant-speed tricks, card draw, and effects that benefit from being cast or copied multiple times. Errant essentially gives you a second or third casting of your best noncasted effects each turn.

Skip the pricey dual lands; use basic Islands and budget U-friendly mana rocks like Sapphire Medallion or Signpost Lands. Spell copies come cheap—Talrand's Invocation effects are often under $5.
