Strategy
Erica Ortegas is a land-bouncing pilot who rewards you for tapping her—each tap lets you play a land from hand early, then bounce one back at end step. This creates explosive acceleration and card advantage: you're effectively cheating lands into play while maintaining hand size and mana ramp. The deck wants to tap Erica early and often, then use that early mana advantage to cast bigger threats or activate abilities. You win by deploying creatures faster than opponents can interact, leveraging the tempo and mana advantage into combat dominance.
Build around ways to untap Erica or force repeated taps—effects like Thousand-Year Elixir, Wirewood Symbiote, or any card that lets you tap creatures for value. Pair this with a high density of utility lands (especially nonbasics like fetch lands, manlands, or Planet lands from the Star Trek set) so bouncing them is barely a downside. The deck naturally runs landfall payoffs and mana-hungry spells, turning each tap into a turn's worth of acceleration. Land ramp plus hasty 3/3 beats quickly close out games.

Key Synergies
Budget Build
Skip expensive fetches; use basic lands plus budget nonbasics like Evolving Wilds, Fabled Passage, or the Star Trek Planet lands. Untap effects like Thousand-Year Elixir are key but Vitalize or Magewright's Stone work cheaper.
