Captain Benjamin Sisko

Captain Benjamin Sisko is a five-color modal-matters engine that rewards you for making tough choices. Every time you face a dilemma—choosing one or more modes on a spell or ability—you create 1/1 red Officer tokens at the end of turn. His activated ability turns those Officers into a powerful card advantage engine: tap him and five mana of any color to exile the top five cards of your library and cast any spells with mana value less than or equal to your Officer count for free. This creates a flywheel where more dilemmas generate more tokens, and more tokens let you cast bigger spells from the top of your deck.

The deck wants to play modal spells and abilities as often as possible—cards like Kobayashi Maru Scenario, Collective Override, and Encounter the Unknown generate dilemmas reliably. You'll ramp early with five-color mana dorks and lands (especially Starfleet Academy and Planet lands for mana-fixing), then build a growing token army while triggering dilemma payoffs like Elim Garak, Simple Tailor (which drains opponents each time you face a dilemma). Once you have a decent Officer count, Sisko's activated ability becomes a powerful draw engine that fills your hand with free spells.

You win through a combination of token-swarm damage (Officers add up fast), casting free spells off the top of your library, and damage triggers from dilemma payoff cards. The deck is grindy and scalable—early game you're building resources, mid-game you're triggering dilemmas and making tokens, and late game Sisko's ability turns your library into a second hand.
