Legendary Creature — Human Advisor
If an opponent would mill one or more cards, they mill twice that many cards instead. (To mill a card, a player puts the top card of their library into their graveyard.)
“Double your mill damage and watch libraries crumble in half the time.”
Bruvac turns your mill cards into devastating mill machines by doubling whatever your opponents mill. Instead of milling three cards with a single effect, suddenly it's six—this snowballs quickly when you're running multiple mill sources. Your gameplan is to slip Bruvac onto the battlefield early, then load up on repeatable mill effects like Glimpse the Unthinkable, Fractured Sanity, or Archive Trap to bury opponents' libraries fast. Since you're in blue, you'll have access to excellent control and card draw to protect your mills and stay alive while your opponents deck themselves out.
The beauty of Bruvac is that it makes even mediocre mill cards efficient—a humble Drowned Secrets becomes a serious threat. You're not racing to damage; you're racing to empty libraries. The deck functions as a focused control-mill hybrid: early disruption and ramp to set up Bruvac, then switching to pure mill mode once he's out. With 40-50 starting library sizes in Commander, doubling mill output means you can often close out a table within a few turns of having your commander active.

Skip pricey dual lands—basic islands and cheap utility lands like Flood Plain work fine. Replace Jace staples with Drowned Secrets or Conspiracy Theorist.
