B'Elanna Torres, Scrapper

B'Elanna Torres is a scrappy deckbuilder's dream—a low-mana engine that rewards playing artifacts while smoothing your draws and growing into a threat. Her tap ability mills two cards via Surveil, then lets you draw if you hit an artifact, or pump herself with +1/+1 counters if you don't. This creates a virtuous loop: you're filling your graveyard, cycling through your deck, and either refueling your hand or turning B'Elanna into a flying trampler over time. The core gameplan is to play a lightweight artifacts-matter shell with cheap artifact creatures and synergies, letting B'Elanna's repeatable activation smooth your mana and threats while she grows as a backup threat.

Your win condition is typically a mix of evasive combat damage (vigilance lets her tap freely) and artifact synergies—cards like Cranial Plating or other cheap equipment turn her into a Voltron finisher, while artifact token generators and payoff cards like Zabaz, the Glimmerwasp or Arcbound creatures scale with the counters she accumulates. The deck functions as a midrange engine that doesn't need to race; it just needs to hit critical mass of artifacts, surveil away the chaff, and threaten lethal via B'Elanna or a go-wide token strategy.
