Strategy
Badgey is a sneaky life-drain engine that punishes opponents every time it taps. The core gameplan is to keep Badgey tapping repeatedly—whether through tap effects, combat, or mass-tap abilities—to drain life while gaining it back. You're playing a midrange attrition deck that slowly closes out the game through incremental damage and life swing, turning Badgey into a repeatable black drain machine. Since Badgey only needs to tap, not attack, you can lean on effects that tap creatures without requiring combat, making it resilient to removal and evasion-focused strategies.
Your deck synergizes with anything that repeatedly taps artifacts or creatures: tap-payoff cards, untap effects, mass-tap abilities, and creatures that enter tapped but generate value. You want to avoid leaving mana up for removal and instead focus on efficient payoffs that guarantee Badgey triggers. Include some minor artifact synergies and graveyard recursion to ensure Badgey sticks around through sweepers, and pack enough mana ramp to cast it early and start draining by turn 4–5.
