Legendary Creature — Bison Ally
Flying, vigilance Whenever Appa or another Ally you control enters, creatures you control get +1/+1 and gain flying and vigilance until end of turn.
“Pump your Ally swarm with evasion every turn—swing for the win.”
Appa, the Vigilant is your token-generating finisher that turns every Ally entering the battlefield into a mini board pump. The core gameplan is to build a critical mass of Allies—creatures that reward you for playing more Allies—then let Appa amplify them with repeated +1/+1 bursts and evasion. Early game, you're playing cheaper Allies and ramping; mid-game, you're chaining entry triggers to build an army; by late game, Appa lands and turns the whole crew into an evasive threat.
Your win condition is typically combat damage through flying, evasive creatures. The beauty of Appa is that she doesn't need to attack herself—her static pump effect means your whole team swings bigger and unblockable every turn you add another Ally. You're essentially weaponizing a creature type (Ally) that naturally clusters together, making Appa's trigger fire constantly while you're just playing the deck as intended.
The deck is forgiving because you're just jamming good Allies and watching value accrue. There's less combo complexity than, say, storm or infinite loops; you're rewarded for playing on-theme creatures that synergize anyway.

Skip pricey dual lands early; stick to basics and cheap white utility lands like Emeria, The Sky Ruin or Kabira Takedown. Replace expensive Allies with bulk uncommons like Expedition Envoy and Ondu Cleric.
