Legendary Creature — Spirit Soldier
Flash First strike Whenever another nontoken creature you control dies, Anafenza endures 2. (Put two +1/+1 counters on it or create a 2/2 white Spirit creature token.)
“Recursive spirit generator that grows with sacrifice synergies.”
Anafenza, Unyielding Lineage is a recursive value engine that rewards you every time a nontoken creature dies. Your game plan is to build a deck full of cheap creatures that you can sacrifice or that naturally die, triggering Anafenza's endure ability repeatedly. Each trigger gives you the choice to pump Anafenza herself into a threatening voltron threat, or generate Spirit tokens for a wide board. This flexibility means you're never locked into one path—you can pivot toward combat damage, token swarm, or just grind out value until opponents can't compete.
The deck thrives on synergy between death triggers and token generation. Cards that sacrifice creatures (like Viscera Seer or Cartel Aristocrat), creatures that die to their own effects (like Zulaport Cutthroat), and efficient ETB creatures all fuel the engine. Anafenza's flash means you can hold up mana and flash her in at the perfect moment to dodge removal or surprise block. Her first strike is a nice bonus on a growing body. You're aiming to either turn Anafenza into an evasive, protected attacker via counters, or generate enough Spirit tokens to overrun the table.

Skip pricey sacrifice outlets like Viscera Seer; use free alternatives like Goblin Bombardment, Judith, or Zulaport Cutthroat. Mana dorks are cheap—Birds of Paradise and Llanowar Elves serve the same role as pricey utility lands.
