Legendary Creature — Human Warlock
Activated abilities of creatures you control cost {X} less to activate, where X is Agatha's power. This effect can't reduce the mana in that cost to less than one mana. {4}{R}{G}: Other creatures you control get +1/+1 and gain trample and haste until end of turn.
“Cost-reduction engine that makes activated abilities free with a combat finisher.”
Agatha of the Vile Cauldron is a cost-reduction engine that rewards you for building around activated abilities. Her power reduces the activation cost of your creatures' abilities, so the deck naturally wants creatures with repeatable activated abilities—think mana dorks that tap for mana, creature tutors, card draw engines, and sacrifice outlets. As Agatha grows bigger through counters or other effects, these abilities become cheaper and cheaper to use, eventually becoming nearly free.
The secondary mode gives all your creatures a temporary boost with trample and haste, which works beautifully as a combat finisher or a way to punch through for lethal. The deck typically plays as a midrange engine, ramping into threats while Agatha's cost reduction makes your utility creatures progressively more efficient. You win by assembling a board of activated-ability creatures, using their cheap abilities to generate value (draw cards, make mana, tutor threats), then swinging in for the kill once you've built a strong enough army.

Skip the dual lands and use basics + guildgates; replace pricey tutors like Enlightened Tutor with cheap draw like Rishkar's Expertise or green creature tutors like Woodland Tutor.
