“Evasive Assassin lord that recasts himself and pumps the team.”
Achilles Davenport is a flying-enabled (via menace) Assassin lord that rewards you for connecting with combat damage. The freerunning mechanic lets you cast him for cheaper once you've dealt damage, which snowballs into a evasive threat engine. Your deck wants to load up on other Assassins—creatures with evasion, card draw, or disruptive abilities—then use menace and Dimir's suite of tricks to slip through defenses and trigger freerunning repeatedly.
The core gameplan is tempo-oriented: generate early threats with cheap Assassins, use removal and bounce to clear blockers, then pivot into a critical mass where Achilles becomes a repeatable cost reducer and lord. Once Assassins are coming down cheaper and getting +1/+1 boosts, you win through combat damage and chip damage from evasive creatures. The deck has a strong grindy, interactive flavor—you're controlling the board while your creatures hit for free.

Skip pricey Assassins like Yuriko; lean on common evasive creatures and MTG Arena staples like Invisible Stalker, Ornithopter, or budget Black removal like Fatal Push and Doom Blade instead of Thoughtseize.
