Stuck at 60 Cards? Let AI Complete Your Commander Deck

New on Tapped Decks: upload a half-built Commander deck and get it finished to 100 — the missing cards filled around your strategy, a full review, and swap suggestions for the cards you already own. Free on every plan.
Almost every Commander player has a deck stuck in limbo. You've got your commander, a pile of cards you love, and maybe 60 or 70 slots filled — and then it stalls. You're not sure how many lands to run, which categories are thin, or what actually fits the game plan. So the deck sits in a box, unfinished.
We built deck completion for exactly that pile. Upload an unfinished list and Tapped Decks finishes it to 100 — around *your* cards, not a generic template — then reviews the result and points out what to swap. It's live now on the Upgrade page, and it's free to use on every plan.
How it works
Head to Upgrade My Deck, paste or upload your partial decklist (a CSV or a plain list — Moxfield, Archidekt, and Arena exports all work), and confirm your commander. If your deck is under 100 cards, you'll see a new option: Complete My Deck with AI.
From there, three things happen in a single pass:
- - The gaps get filled. Tapped Decks reads your commander, every card you've already chosen, and any notes you add about your strategy, then picks the missing cards to round out the deck — a proper mana base, plus the ramp, card draw, removal, and payoffs the deck was missing. Everything stays inside your commander's colour identity and Commander-legal.
- - The finished deck gets reviewed. You get an honest read: the power bracket, a category scorecard (are you light on removal? flooding on lands?), and a card-by-card rating from "never cut" down to "this doesn't belong here."
- - Your own cards get a second look. Because it reviewed the whole deck, it can flag cards *you* included that don't pull their weight — and suggest concrete replacements that do.
Set an optional budget and it keeps the new cards under it, swapping pricey picks for lands rather than blowing past your number.
It builds around your cards, not over them
This isn't "generate a deck from scratch." The cards you already chose are locked — they tell the builder what you're going for. If you've committed to a +1/+1 counters theme or a specific combo, the fill leans into it instead of pulling the deck somewhere generic. The point is to finish *your* deck, faster than staring at a spreadsheet.
What it costs
Deck completion is a build, so it works on every plan:
- - Free: included — it uses your one monthly build.
- - Builder: counts as one of your 10 monthly builds or upgrades.
- - Commander: unlimited, like everything else.
That's the same pool your other builds draw from, so there's nothing new to buy.
When to use completion vs. a full upgrade
- - Your deck is under 100 cards → use deck completion. It finishes the list and reviews it in one go.
- - Your deck is already built and legal and you want it sharper → use the full AI deck upgrade (Builder & Commander), which reviews a complete deck and proposes tuned swaps toward a target bracket and budget.
Either way you land on the same review-and-swap screen, and "Open Deck" drops the finished list into the editor so you can tweak, price it out, and export to TCGPlayer.
Got a half-built deck gathering dust? Finish it now — or start a brand-new one if you're beginning from your commander.
